LGBT stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender, and is a group of support and acknowledgement for those people.

No one deserves judgment or different treatment based on what their sexual orientation is.

We celebrate these people in June in rememberance of the 1969 Stonewall riots, a series of demonstrations by members of the gay community.

Appreciation for Native Americans

On August 3, 1990 President of the United States George H. W. Bush declared the month of November as National American Indian Heritage Month, thereafter commonly referred to as Native American Heritage Month

This commemorative month aims to provide a platform for Native people in the United States of America to share their culture, traditions, music, crafts, dance, and ways and concepts of life.

This gives Native people the opportunity to express to their community, both city, county and state officials their concerns and solutions for building bridges of understanding and friendship in their local area.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

The icon who represented millions

Martin Luther King, Jr. was the chief spokesman for nonviolent activism in the Civil Rights Movement, which successfully protested racial discrimination in federal and state law.

His success with peaceful protest methods sent a long-lasting message that African Americans deserve equality as much as anyone else does.

King was assassinated in 1968. He is honored on the third Monday of January every year, which is close to his birthday.
